| Hi,
I am getting a new kitten and we have long floor length curtains that I am worried about it climbing. How can we stop this? |
| you can get some repelling spray, but be careful that it won't damage your curtains... |
| Keep a bowl of water nearby and each time the kitten goes to climb the curtains or goes near then, dip your flingers in the water and flick some water in the kitten's face. It is a fast effective way of teaching a cat where the boundaries are and causes no harm to them. |
| Sorry to hear about the misfortune with the curtains, but it does tend to elicit a smile just thinking about the cat hanging up there. Mind, I know why they do it, too: I used to house-sit in London... very nice old house with a rather big garden. And in the curtains... there weren't cats, but mice! Anyway, your predicament made me browse the internet, and I came across a couple of funny cat videos at http://petboogaloo.ning.com
Go have a look if you have the time. |
