| My beautiful and spoiled 6 year old cat Millie has long hair -- especially in the winter - she looks like a fur ball currently. She has trouble with her tummy after she self grooms with fur balls, I am about to try her on Defurr em products for the first time - anyone have any other suggestions - she is an otherwise very happy and healthy indoor cat. I do groom her myself and manage to remove some excess fur that way - but she does have problems and vomits fur balls more often than I like to see - its distressing for her. All suggestions are welcome.Thanx.Kate | |

| Hi Kate, just read your message today albeit a few months after your posting - i have 2 persians and have in the past had the same problem. After grooming I take a clean wet cloth and stroke it all around the body thus removing any loose hair after combing which could be ingested. I also give them both an inch of catalax (or Lickstick) once a week to see the hair comes out the other end! Long haired cats are beautiful and even those people like us who groom them end up with fur balls - winter is a fur ball frenzy - enjoy the summer! Claire | |
